Than Merrill’s Philanthropy and Career Information

2Nathaniel Merrill’s nickname is Than. He has had a lot of different careers. He has been on TV, has been an investor in real estate, an athlete, a speaker, and he is also a father and husband.

Real Estate Work

Than is a very successful real estate businessman. He helped with founding the Reality National Inc . This is a brokerage firm in San Diego California. This company eventually opened up other location in the United States such as Boston, Massachusetts and Orange County. He was so successful that he got his own show on A&E. This show was called Flip This House and showed others how to buy and sell homes.

His Football Career

When Nathaniel was in high school he was a quarterback. Since he was such a great asset to the team he eventually went to Yale college where he played as a safety from 1999 to 2001. He was eventually drafted into the NFL. He played on several teams. In 2001 he played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He then played with the Bears for one year. That year he was able to make seven different tackles. Then in 2003 he played for the Buccaneers but later that year he suffered a knee injury that forced him to stop playing.

Charity Work

Than is a great philanthropist. In 2010 he and his wife started the Equal Footing Foundation. This foundation gives scholarships to children that love playing sports but do not have the money to get on organized leagues. This has helped so many children be able to play sports that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to do. Than also founded FortuneBuilders Gives. This is an organization that raises money for food drives, clothing, and other things children need to survive. To date they have raised $184,000.
